Population statistics

The average annual income is CHF 65’845. 14.44% of the population have a university degree, 16.73% have a higher vocational education qualification, 49.74% of the population have a school-leaving certificate or have completed a vocational apprenticeship, 18.71% of residents have completed compulsory schooling and 0.4% of the population provided no information about their highest level of education. The area is prestigious thanks to its high social standards and educated population. Currently, 0.32% of the population is unemployed.

Taxes

The tax rate for the residential region is 10.79%. It differs from person to person and depends on factors such as actual income, marital status and the amount of deductions. A married couple on a pension (over 65) pays an average of 14.06% tax, a couple with two children 6.73% and a couple without children 9.73%. The tax burden for a single person without children is 15.89%.

New buildings

A total of 995 new apartments have been created in the Prättigau / Davos region within the past 5 years – the number has changed steadily during that time. Of these new apartments, a total of 43 apartments have exactly one room to live in. There are also a total of 215 new 2-room apartments. The 290 3-room apartments and 252 4-room apartments are also particularly attractive for families. In addition, there are 125 5-room apartments and 70 apartments with at least 6 rooms available.
